The butt fusion welding technique is used for welding pipes made from polyethylene (PE), for the water and gas industries and from polypropylene (PP) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) for the chemical industries. Due to the requirement for these techniques in multiple industries, a significant demand exists for individuals who can apply butt fusion techniques.
Due to the effectiveness of butt fusion welding techniques, individuals who possess such skills will have a competitive advantage when looking to secure employment as they will be able to competently weld thermoplastic piping.
Chevron Training has devised a comprehensive butt fusion course which will enable learners to enhance their skillset to include the application of butt fusion techniques. Learners who successfully complete this course will acquire a practical skill that may be used to extend their service range.
Purpose
Equip learners with the knowledge and skills required to join polyethylene piping safely using butt fusion techniques.
