Water Meter Installer Training Courses

On April 17th 2012, Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan, confirmed that work on the installation of water meters will commence in October 2012.  Minister Hogan also stated that the nationwide rollout of water meters would create 2,000 jobs as the installation work would be awarded to hundreds of local contractors, with recruitment to begin in September 2012.

Chevron Training’s Certified Water Meter Installer Training Course will enable learners to acquire the knowledge and skills to competently install all types of water meters and apply for the water meter installer jobs as they become available.

Uniquely, our course is certified by ERS (European Registration Scheme for Competent Personnel). ERS is an Irish Certification Body. ERS has the sole rights for certifying Gas installers in Ireland and is also a certifying body for OFTEC Oil courses in Ireland.

Chevron Training has invested heavily in developing a fleet of purpose built mobile training units to facilitate the delivery of our certified water meter installer training courses. These mobile training units can deliver the water meter training courses throughout all 26 counties. The practical nature of this course is highlighted by the fact that 70% of contact time is dedicated to hands on training. As the units are equipped with the latest industry technologies they enable our learners to acquire technical competence in all types of water meter installation. Our trainers have been carefully selected by identifying subject matter experts who are defined by their practical experience in the installation of water meters.
