Offshore Wind Energy with Demands and Applications
This programme provides an in-depth understanding of offshore wind energy technology, focusing on its growing demands and real-world applications.
Students will explore the principles of wind turbine power conversion, gaining insights into turbine dynamics and operational efficiency.
The course covers advanced modeling and analysis of the marine environment, assessing external loads on wind turbine sub-structures and foundations.
Designed for professionals and graduates seeking expertise in offshore wind energy, this programme equips learners with the technical knowledge and analytical skills required to thrive in the renewable energy sector.
Study is part-time and online. Online delivery is supported by an induction day at the beginning of the programme. The informative live webinars (two evenings per week) will aim to develop participants’ ability to apply knowledge and understanding of Offshore Energy. Participants may have to attend interactive group sessions (Saturdays). These sessions facilitate discussion and debate and promote the transference of skills and knowledge into the workplace, with guest lectures contributing to these important workshop sessions.

Academic Requirements: BEng in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/STEM or equivalent or CV experience.
