Postgraduate Diploma in Blockchain and Financial Technologies

The course will equip you with the computation, mathematical, business and financial views of blockchain and financial technologies. After successfully completing the course you will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of theoretical as well as application of blockchain and financial technologies.

Programme Modules

Fundamentals of Cybersecurity

Cover a range of governance and management topics which will enable you to determine, establish and maintain appropriate governance, delivery and creation of cybersecurity solutions for information, systems and network security.

Technology Management for Organisations

Learn to apply the principles, policies and procedures of cybersecurity and data science to provide resilient and robust organisational solutions for secure and valuable information.

Cyber Resilience and Incident Response

Consider the concepts of secure design across a range of platforms and problem areas. Study applied cryptography, secure programming and defensive programming. Gain the knowledge and skills to undertake first-response in cyber breach.

Cybersecurity and User Experience Design

Study the two themes of cybersecurity and usability in software design. Learn to understand the trade-offs and challenges these themes present. Research challenges in the areas of usable security.

Assessment is 100% coursework-based with no exams. Methods include written reports and practical assignments, designed to evaluate participants’ professional and practical development journey.

Timetable

  • 4 x 12 week terms
  • Live classes every Tuesday and Thursday evenings for 2 hours

Entry Requirements

Bachelor’s degree 2.2 or above with a focus on information technology (IT) and/or quantitative techniques (e.g., computer science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or other courses that have some quantitative and IT content).

If English isn’t your first language, you may need to provide evidence of your English language ability. We accept IELTS at 6.0 overall with no individual component below 5.5 or equivalent.
