About the Solar PV DC testing and QC refresher course
The solar PV – DC testing & QC refresher course provides electricians and engineers with the skills and practical knowledge of Solar PV testing, commissioning and sign off in accordance with EN62446 & IS10101. The course consists of practical hands-on testing, commissioning and the completion of all documents related to the sign off of residential and commercial solar PV systems.
The course covers the considerations & practical testing of both the DC & AC components and circuits of solar PV systems.

Module 2 – Describe “Due Diligence” responsibilities for Safe Electric registered electrical contractors |
Module 3 – Identify potential faults in solar PV systems – Cable routes, MC4 connectors, DC shunt, DC & AC isolators,
inverters etc |
Module 4 – Describe factors affecting solar PV modules / arrays and considerations / implications with regard to potential
test results |
Module 5 – Describe requirements for surge protection, bonding and earthing of the solar PV array / array frame and
mechanical mounting system |
Module 6 – Describe the tools and test equipment used for the DC and AC side testing of residential and commercial
solar PV systems |
Module 7 – Carry out practical testing on the DC side of a “live” solar PV system |
