  • Design Effective Security Solutions: Develop the ability to design and implement robust solutions to mitigate complex cybersecurity challenges.
  • Apply Practical Problem-Solving: Utilize diagnostic tools and problem-solving techniques to effectively address cybersecurity threats in diverse real-world scenarios.

Study is part-time and online. Online delivery is supported by an induction day at the beginning of the programme. The informative live webinars (two evenings per week) will aim to develop participants’ ability to apply knowledge and understanding of Cybersecurity. These sessions facilitate discussion and debate and promote the transference of skills and knowledge into the workplace, with guest lectures contributing to these important workshop sessions.

Employment opportunities for graduates of a 30 ECTS Level 7 Certificate in Cyber Security are in high demand in entry-level and support roles within the cyber security industry. Positions such as cyber security technician, IT security support, and network monitoring assistant are in high demand among small to medium enterprises (SMEs), where businesses often require immediate technical support rather than fully qualified specialists. Graduates are also well-suited for roles in security operations centres (SOCs), assisting with threat monitoring, incident response, and basic security configurations, tasks which align with the practical skills taught in shorter, vocationally oriented programmes.

Programme Modules

Modules include Ethical Hacking Fundamentals, Attack Vectors and Countermeasures and Infrastructure Security Threats and Controls.
